The Deadline's Almost Here!

Hello All!  I just received a few new submissions today for the magazine & I am very excited about them!  We are still accepting submissions through Midnight on Wednesday, February 23rd.  Submit work via the website Proetry.com or email the submissions to me directly at ProetryEditor@gmail.com.  I have re-posted the Submission Guidelines below.  Please review them before submitting work.  Happy Monday!

Website Submission Guidelines-

General: There is no deadline for website submissions, as we hope to keep the material on the site rotating more frequently than the bi-monthly printed edition. The first edition of the online edition should be published by the end of March. Please no profane or clearly religious-themed works of art, as the site host does not accept materials like that and we could get in trouble for posting them. (We want to keep this zine going!) Feel free to email us at ProetryEditor@gmail.com if you have any questions. Also, you can submit more than one type of writing and/or art, up to 3 poems, 3 pieces of artwork, and one piece of prose.

Poetry: Please only submit 3 poems per person. Put "Poetry Submission" in the Subject of the Email and send it to: ProetryEditor@gmail.com. Please send each poem in a separate email. Please include contact info at the top or bottom of each email as well. If, for stylistic purposes, you need to send the poem in an attachment, please explain that in the body of the email, otherwise we will not open the attachment due to spam.

Prose: Please put "Prose Submission" & the genre (Fiction, Non-Fiction, etc.) in the Subject of the Email and send it to: ProetryEditor@gmail.com. Please send each prose piece in a separate email. Please include contact info at the top or bottom of each email as well. Please only submit 2 prose pieces per person.

Art: Please only submit 3 pieces of artwork per person. Send your artwork in the form of .JPG files. Put "Art Submission" in the Subject of the Email & attach the files to the email, one artwork per email. Send it to: ProetryEditor@gmail.com

Print Edition Submission Guidelines-

General: There are no unacceptable themes for submitting to the print edition. The deadline for submissions for the March edition is 2/23/11. We are aiming to have the first issue printed in mid-March. You can also submit more than one type of writing and/or art for the print edition, up to 3 poems, 3 pieces of artwork, and 2 pieces of prose.

Poetry: As the first edition of the zine will be rather small, please only submit poems which are a page in length or shorter. All other Poetry guidelines are the same as the website edition guidelines.

Prose: As the first edition of the zine will be rather small, please only submit prose pieces which are a half-page in length or shorter. All other Prose guidelines are the same as the website edition guidelines.

Art: Please send the highest resolution copy of your work for the print edition. If the Art Editor does not deem the work to be in a high enough res, we may email you back and ask you for a higher resolution version. All other Art guidelines are the same as the website edition guidelines.

Feel free to email us at ProetryEditor@gmail.com for more info!
